FUTURAMA | Movie Trailer (2025) – Ryan Reynolds, Brie Larson

The future is back… and it’s more outrageous than ever! Futurama (2025), the long-awaited feature film adaptation of the beloved animated sci-fi sitcom, brings Fry, Bender, and the Planet Express crew to the big screen in an action-packed, hilariously absurd adventure. Featuring Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Bender and Brie Larson as Leela, this star-studded, live-action/CG hybrid film promises nostalgia, laughs, and an epic space journey like never before.

Trailer Breakdown

The teaser kicks off in classic Futurama style—New New York, the year 3025. The Planet Express ship bursts through the skyline as Professor Farnsworth (J.K. Simmons) shouts, “Good news, everyone!” before immediately crashing into a billboard.

Cut to Fry (Tom Holland) waking up groggily in his tube apartment. “Huh… still the future? Thought that was a dream.” Leela (Brie Larson) rolls her eye. “Nope. And you’re late. Again.”

Meanwhile, Bender (Ryan Reynolds), the foul-mouthed, beer-chugging robot, is busy hacking a casino slot machine. “I am 90% metal, 10% charisma, and 100% done with this job.”

The main plot unfolds: The crew is sent on a mysterious delivery mission to a forbidden planet, only to uncover a universe-altering conspiracy involving time travel, mutant uprisings, and a rogue AI (voiced by Jeff Goldblum).
Hilarious side plots: Zapp Brannigan (Chris Hemsworth) attempts to seduce an alien queen, Dr. Zoidberg (Andy Serkis) accidentally becomes a viral influencer, and Amy (Awkwafina) invests in a doomed cryptocurrency called MoonBux.
Epic sci-fi action: Space battles, laser fights, and Fry once again proving why he is the least qualified person to save the universe.
A nostalgic twist: The discovery of an ancient VHS tape that might reveal the true origins of Fry’s fate in the future.

As the trailer reaches its climax, Bender yells, “Bite my shiny metal—wait, are we rated PG-13 or R?” before cutting to black. The final scene? A cryptic message flashing: “THE FUTURE IS DOOMED. SEE YOU THERE.”

With sharp satire, futuristic mayhem, and an all-star cast, Futurama (2025) promises to bring the cult classic to life in a way that fans—and new audiences—will love.

Prepare for laughs, lasers, and ludicrously good sci-fi.
